"Strength"

You have the strength to make it
I see it in your eyes and in your heart
Take this chance and grasp it
Time for a brand new start

A new road you're going to travel
One with blue and sunny skies
No more broken hearts and shattered dreams
The chains around you to be broken
No more unbearable pain or earth shattering lies

By your side I shall stand
Never to leave, this I promise you
Forever I am going to love
Chasing away those tears of blue

The light around you shines so bright
I smile when I look upon your heavenly face
Knowing you have what it takes to fight
And you'll do it with style and grace

Never give up, keep your chin high
We'll climb the mountains together, each and every one
So, lets get started
Our brand new life has begun

Laura,
I love you!

Amy,
This is so beautifully written. Deep within  you portray a very strong and determined person. She must be proud of you, never give up.

Amy in many situations it does take a strong determination, but when there is love that makes it a whole lot better.

I agree with all the other comments on the uplifting quality of this piece.
To me, I read it as a parent, encouraging their child who is venturing out into the world and learning what it's all about. A piece of guidance, support and love.
Nice work
