Of Souls And Shoals We fabricate a life of meaning Often through a life of scheming Make the dust and grime a shoal And often temple it a soul It glows just like a firefly And thinks that it will never die. A shadow of a fantasy Of agony and ecstasy. And I in thought will often smile In the humor of the wile. For I hear laughter in the rhyme In the echoing of time. We of the moment only know A single lap a single flow Rise to a rise of instant high And think we are where essence lie. The ages lap upon the shore Ever circling evermore And dust and grime that is its soul Laps upon a would be shoal. We are in essence a state of more A procession of the evermore. |
