I see past your fake mask
I see through you
I live my life for me and
I don't care what you say
Yet I do
Why don't you understand me
I love your advice and
I sink it in
Not if you are trying to look down at me
Not if you are trying to be my mother
I have one of my own
I don't need a soulmate
I found mine lives ago
I see it all
Pushing your views on me
Your rights and wrongs in life and I'm always the wrong one
Seeing you helps me to help you, but do you see me
Can you truely help me
Listen or not that is all you
Listen or not that is all me
just know that I extended me hand to you and you slapped it
You extended your arm to me and I accepted
Tell me if there is something wrong here
I hate that you hate me for knowing the truth
Just know that I'm always here for you and
when you wake I'll still be here
Waiting with open arms

Love,
Lady

I really enjoyed this read...I know how these one-sided things can go but love and patience always wins out over frustration and anger.. I just wish I could practice what I preach.. good writing!!   ethome

You must be married.      Lord do I know this frustration.   Very well written!   Thanks for sharing.

LL, this is an excellant and really great read. I know of these type of relationships, they nearly always end in tears.
Take care

Thank you all for understanding. Yes, I was married and that is where the piece stemmed from.
Ethome: I wish that I could always practice what I preached too, but I don't see that happening. I'm trying though.

Dreamkeeper: You were right on the mark with me being married.  I'm sorry that you have been through the same fustration.

Marsha: You were right on the mark too.  Mine relationship ended in lots and lots of tears.
I'm still crying to this day.  I'm sure that all the tears will end soon though.

thank you all again.
Love,
Lady
