The idea cried out, “Liken me not To small things!” And the poet wept, Knowing only how to decorate with words- Wending spasmodically around the autumn leaves Of paper. Telling, in his mind, over and over That there is no formula for Masterpiece; Patiently waiting for it not to happen Trying to forget that which carried so much weight In its un-striking aversion to being One of the lesser. |
