~Baby Blue~

The spring brought her pain
like a wind battered rose clinging to a vine
she tried to hide in the safety of denial
she never noticed the soft gentle rain

Devoted to the life within her, she held on to hope
yet sought relief from certain grief
like the last petal that falls to the ground from a fading rose
the beauty was there, though wrapped in sorrow

His baby blue blanket is neatly folded in a box
in memory of our little one
who now rest in the pillow soft arms of God

We love you little grasshopper
that's the nickname your mommie picked for you
because you kicked in her tummy so much
I know the angels sing you sweet lullaby's
sometimes I think I can hear the sweet songs...

We'll see you one day
on heavens beautiful shore
on that you can rest assured

love,
me maw

Deb, this is one of the most well done, beautiful verses I have read on this so very painful and difficult subject.
My heart, thoughts and prayers goes out to all of you in this loss.
I have been there...I understand the pain..you have written her a healing, loving verse, that in time she will treasure.
take care
jm

BloomingRose,
This is very painful and so much love and emotions all in the one poem. I am sorry to hear of your daughter's loss. Give her your love through these hard times. Let the angels take care of the little one.

Respond to my call and let the waves of my heart fill your life with the wonders of love

Be Rosie......My wife and I also lost two....baby gals....I do know what's going on through the minds of your entire family, and I pray for you all....It's hard to be strong for your daughter I'm sure....but it's essential that you are.....I hope and will pray for healing for you all....I know I'm just that damned old Toerag, and God probably kinda chuckles when I pray, but as infrequently as I do, he usually knows I'm serious when I do.....Bless you and your daughter.....my best goes out to ya.....

jm~ Thank you. My daughter lost her baby in the summer. He would have been born in December. God has a way of healing the worst of the hurt, but he will not be forgotten.  I wanted to write this now because I know the birth that would have been, is on her mind too.

Marge~ Thank you

Daniel~ Thank you for your very kind words

Toerag~ Thank you. You really touched my heart with your words, knowing you and your wife have suffered the same loss.
I am sure God hears your prayers. He loves us all the same, and cares when we hurt.

There is no pain like the loss of child...its unnatural...but sometimes God needs them more than we do...we ust have to believe He has a reason for sharing them as long as He does...hugs to you

My prayers are with you, I lost a nephew
in Dec.,1989, and am still trying to get
over the lost,he is constantly on my mind,
but I know that he is with God and is looking
down from heaven.

Take care, and send my prayers to you daughter.

Paula~ It does seem unnatural to lose something as precious as a child, especially when the child is wanted. God sometimes allows us to go through the things in life that are painful, but he is never the cause. I don't really understand it but I know Jesus carried every pain, every heartache we have ever suffered to the cross. I am so glad to be able to turn to him in times like these. Thank you for your very kind reply.

James~ Thank you, I hope she will feel peace and comfort when I tell her about this

Denise~ Thank you so much...

Cathy~ Thank you so much for your love and prayers

And children are given to us as a loan. We forget that and when God takes the child back before we are ready to let go, we question the "why".  I have not lost any of my children, but it has to be the most painful of all!  Love and prayers to all of your family on the little ones earthly birthday.           ME

I don't think ther is anything more heart breaking than
losing a child.
I'm so sorry for your loss, and your daughters.
This is a very sweet piece, Baby Blue.
Hugs to you and your family
