How it began

Placed upon a window sill
Yellow with a leafy frill
A little plant a flowered prize.
That captivates the human eye.

Given me with heart and zeal
In tender touch and tender feel.
Placed within my hand her hand
That made my heart to beat the band.

It was there and then I knew
The hand to hand to me the clue.
The offer of the water can
It was there that it all began.

And it flowers to this day
A prize to me in every way
And I water it each morn
Just before the light of dawn.

Just before I kiss the face
The face that put it in its place.

This fragile gift of leafy frill
when given TLC ... will bloom ever the love of until
this gift of begin ... a place for love to start
will grow on the vine of your kiss ... and bloom like a rose in your heart.

Marvelous! I see pansies and the perfume of petunias growing bright and smelling lightly...and coffee brims from the cups as early morning rises on such a tender scene...

Marvelous!

Seymour~
Your poetry is so elegantly phrased.
This is just sprinkled with love.

Sometimes the simplest gifts are the ones that speak the most love...and what a beautiful beginning this must have been to carry you for so long
