Take me home,
to a familiar place.
With roses all around.
A summer sky,
streaked with
ribbons of white.
Long shadows upon the ground.
Hold my hand,
a tender embrace.
in a stillness
devoid of all sound.
Face to face
at peace with ourselves
in this heaven
that we have found.

Take me home,
through the gates
of your heart.
Where my soul flys
sparrow free.
Catch hold of my
spirit,
and as it takes wing,
come sailing
away with me.
To a rising plateau,
'oer a painted desert,
awash in bright harmony.
Of color, and sun.
Of the music of wind.
a natural epiphany.

Take me home,
past the roads
of old heartache.
help the old bruises heal.
Two, as one,
we are surely to envy,
a purity, one cannot steal.
The manifestation
of a higher power,
A completeness
of utter appeal.
Take me home,
hear my words,
oh, my darling.
come with me,
feel as I feel.
Take me home,
for this is
so real.

I'd rather be known as a fool with a heart, than be known as a heartless fool. <slh>

Seraphin~
This is just LOVELY !
I'm so glad I caught a moment to read it.

And I REALLY like this -

'Take me home,
through the gates
of your heart.
Where my soul flys
sparrow free.
Catch hold of my
spirit,
and as it takes wing,
come sailing
away with me'

So nice to have you here with us, poet friend.

SEA and Marge,
Thank you so much for kind words. This site is so inspiring. When the words are locked too deep to pull out, spending time here seems to help them float to the surface.
