The brightest star in the sky
has a tiny angel swinging
from one point
and her smile is the smile
that brings out the sun
as she laughs and sprinkles
dream dust.

The moon guides her thru the night
creating no boundaries, she is free
swinging from star tip to star tip
she watches down upon you
she hears your whispered prayers
and she loves you more than even I
for she is me, without mortal strings.

This tiny angel sparkles
look there, far up in the sky
sitting upon the brightest star
she's smiling down upon you
as she will always smile
down upon you, even when I
am no longer here.

Blessed is the woman who
gives life from her body.

Beautiful poem.  Very delicate and lovely picture you've created here.  Enjoyed much.

Most excellent piece of work here dragonpoe!
This is going into my library....
This would also make an excellent Mothers Day card!
So very well done... I love it

Thank you all, for your kind words.
This poem came on a whim yesterday as I was watching my sons play.  I did not know what would become of the poem, I just wrote until it was done.

This was warm and wonderful!  It painted vivid pictures in the mind!  The entire second stanza is my favorite!

DragonPoe~
I think your mommy's heart is showing so beautifully here.
This is one of the prettiest pieces I've seen
on this day.
A keeper for sure.
