Listening to every heart

Two Lines of the Heart
[a Poets' Poetic Collaboration]

Come thee closer, and quietly seek thou my love
'neath heaven's choir, with blessings from above

as stars to earth in beckoning, "come nearer"
your eyes a portal for my soul--my mirror.

something that sparks within,
a pleasure too good to be sin.

a light that doth shine with heavenly bliss
shining even brighter with each and every kiss

come closer now, bring thy soul within my grasp,
breathe deep, listen to the song as my heart sings

come near and step into my soul's warm clasp
feel the love from which that heart-song springs.

thy hallowed touch ignites the splendor
within a heart so long suppressed

release thy love unto me
two hearts beating, for all to see

come thee closer; seek quietly sweet love which timing tests!
recline with me in sweet refrain, cause me to catch my breath!

come and rest in love and peace beside my heart
winged angel breathe thy sweetness tear not my soul apart

angels play thy heartstrings ... love's   melodic symphony
heart and soul in harmony ... dancing to the tunes of destiny

O 'tis the softness of thy lips i long to taste
thence the warmth of thine heart i doth not waste

sweet words fly from thy mouth unleashed by thy ardor.
heart tingling from thy words doth make restraint harder.

and restraint, O, what a tedious word
I would that this love so grand be heard!

O, hear those bells from distant nell, thou love of mine,
for wedding songs are what they sing, blessed by king and queen,

those blessed bells go through my head
would that I could, but love instead

So softly kiss and darkling glance
I am ready for blessed romance

strings of harp warm this heart beneath the chill
playing the tune of tremoring words of "Now I will"

fingers dancing 'cross bare skin
gliding, swaying, and twisting around

for every heart that is made of gold
it beats on memories so I'm told...

This did turn out nicely, and it was fun!  Hope to see you try it again sometime.

To your credit - the lines from so many sources sound/read- as though they've come from a single mind/source and what a wonderfully romantic sensual source it is too!

What is it that can be said?  "It takes a community to support a poet...and a poet to lift all hearts..."

and yes, I do believe we will do another one...anyone can start them...'Deer...why don't YOU start one since you missed this one [I allowed it a couple of days...you just missed it!] But I AM thinking of what I can do to allow doreen her particular quirky muse full access without ANY editing...
