This is an old poem I dont have the feelings of wanting her back, but alass Im still alone.

Christmas Alone
By Richard Maxfield
12-11-98

Christmas day
is so very near
And you my love
will not be here

Christmas  morning
never be the same
no longer together
who is to blame

Mistletoe hung high
over the door
Sweet taste of you kiss
never more

One light in the window
twinkles all alone
Flashes bright
for the one that’s not home

So many years
all we have had
This Christmas morning
will be so sad

Think of us
how it used to be
When Christmas day
Was you and me

I will wake
just our daughter and me
Spend that special day
You, we will not see

The gift I desire
can not be
To wake Christmas morning
with you beside me

So when you wake
so far from home
Your in our hearts
so we are not alone

*sigh* such sadness, my friend. My prayers are with you during this season. Much love, dear one, from me to you. Christmas hugs too, Richard.

Love I leave with you my friend whether it be in your life or of yet the essense of your dreams. http://path2riches.com

It is not easy being alone and when the holidays come around it can be alot harder.  Just remember one thing.  I know this is an old one and I hope now that you once again have someone special to share the holiday with.  Happy Holidays to you and may you find some peace in it as well.

A life with love will have some thorns, but a life without love will have no roses.

Richard, You put this so well, a really excellant poem. And when the time is right you will find someone else.
Take care

I can relate to this poem at the holidays, Richard. I pray you have a great Christmas in spite of the lonely feelings and that something special happens to make your season bright! aloha,Koko

Though sadness lingers in your heart, may happiness dwell in a special place to know that something special came out of your love, your daughter, who is  a miracle Merry Christmas!

you do know that you can pen down your feelings of loss this holiday season and i, among others at passions, will offer emotional support?

and i hope you are feeling better...

Like you, I was a single father at one time in my life and now my son is 22 and I have remarried.  It was a very difficult time to go through but you will... go through it and you do have several things going for you... you are able to focus your attention on those things that you do have and the realization that this time is but temporal.  Keep the Faith... God will bring you through this.

Love in Christ,
Bob <><
