To my sweet,
all the things I never said.
All the little things,
that filled my heart with dread.
I was never able to tell you,
all those emotions I felt.
All the feelings I held inside,
those that I had dealt.
The longing on those cold nights,
to have your arms around me tight.
And to see your tender eyes,
the ones I love and are my prize.
The words I could not form,
the words I keep with such regret,
still linger in my throat
simply unable to form, but I don't fret.
I know that somewhere,
somewhere deep inside,
my heart has met with yours,
and they cling together with uttermost pride.

Heart to heart is where it is at, but I know what you mean, the words are important too! Lovely poem!

You touch on an emotion I think we so often fall into, the fear of saying the words.....to the one we love most.  Really nice job with this!  )  Welcome!

JellyBean-
   yes...sometimes it is difficult to
find the words to express the emotions
that we feel the most deeply.
   you've expressed it well.
   enjoyed reading.
