Falling leaves of brown
drifting aimlessley groundward
carefree in their flight

Branches denuded
opening their arms skyward
in suplication

Now winter has come
harshly demanding coldness
no promise of spring.

and she plans on being around for sometime, I'm afraid!! (better get those snow boots out), she'll be around protecting her cool breeze until all remnants of summer is passed.

sleep comes, rustling branch
shivers in the frigid night
sap stays at the foot

life breaths in quiet
soul of tree stays hidden now
waiting for the warm

black, white, gray night comes
harboring promises of
life's love of life's song

Very lovely haiku!!!!!!!!!

Look within the heart of a poet, and you will see a reflection of their soul.
