A Butterfly Touched My Heart.

~**~Daniel J D~**~

Elbows on the rails
Thoughts of many fails
The pond alive, glowing
Swans, graceful, feeding
Children playing, birds chanting
A teardrop, runs down my face
Feeling a little out of place

Walking head down, confused
Pass families, so amused
Smells of sundays cooking
Sounds of church bells echoing
A past gone wrong, astray
Remind me how much to pray

Sitting in a far corner
On a bench, in pain and wonder
Hand clasped, no more anger
Dreams they say are forever
Blue skies, warm sunny afternoon
Far above a faint half moon

Another day alone
Another week gone
Staggering along to find tomorrow
Body aching, heart deep in sorrow

From the white Camelia, a butterfly
A broken wing, can no longer fly
I broke the chosen flower
Placing gently my finger
Underneath, weakened legs to free from harm
Wings colours of nature's art
It walked, along my hand and arm
Found its way close to my beating heart
And expired on my weary chest
Found my way home, I laid to rest
Nature's wonder, fragile partner
Somehow in pain and sorrow I felt better.

Janetmarie,
Thank you so very much. We are so fragile ourselves, and when we come across nature's gems, we often find solace knowing that we are not alone.

Martie,
They seem to have a way to capture our imagination. They are free but so fragile.

Daniel* The journey of your weave took
me on an emotional walk through your
soul...the times when we don't feel that
anyone could understand...being lost in a
world filled with people..and then in a
moment feeling comfort in something that
cannot speak...but simply shares.  A gift to
your heart to let you know that you are not
alone in the broken feeling that you
have...giving the hope and the strength to
go on.  A soul kiss...and that is also what
this poem was.  Beautiful writing
Daniel...your talent grows with each post~

All of life is fragile and your wonderful verse gives us much to realize and ponder on.  Your talent just keeps streching on and on to new horizons with each new addition you add to your arsenal and this piece by far is one of your very best.  The title drew me in but the poem itself captivated me from the beginning and I actually read twice to capture all of it's essence.  I will probably come back to read again too.  Loved it deeply.

Mark,
This reply from you has given me a lot of comfort. I really appreciate your wonderful compliments. There are moments of deep sadness at various stages of our lives, and often, just a tiny little wonder can make a difference and turn us around. Cheers.
