* this didn't get much of a response the first time, just thought I'd see how it does now.........

She looked at you
with puppy dog eyes
wondering if ~ or when
you'd ever realize

She was so in love
it was always you
all the while breaking her heart
that you hadn't a clue

She wanted you so much
and was quite willing to prove
every day she hoped
you'd make a move

She waited so long
still you could never see
she, with puppy dog eyes
~your missed destiny

Believe you hit the nail head my friend.  I can think of some I felt exactly that way about...later.  Missed My destiny, or maybe one didn't miss it really...who knows which destiny was the right one??  But we can dream about thos "puppy dog eys" can't we, and really wonder...was that truly the "missed destiny" in my life....???

loved it...

I loved this SEA! Thanks for re-posting it, I didn't see it first time around.  It brought a vivid "Normal Rockwell" type image to my mind. I feel like breaking out the paints ... a young girl, old-fashioned school-desk, chin on hand, eyes fluttering in admiration, with boy busily going on about life unnoticing.  Lovely!

Best wishes,
/Kit

Wonderful write. I have been there!!! I was waiting for that special one to notice, and good news, he did. Turns out he was doing the same. I loved this poem so much, it really hit home!!! Glad we didn't miss!
