     The shore
     Slapped by the surf
     As we watch holding hands
Burning sun falls into the sea
     We kiss

     We kiss
     Lovers and friends
     A sweet taste of longing
You burn into my very soul
     You please

     You please
     Me with your smile
     You give yourself so free
     You touch my innermost being
     I'm yours

     I'm yours
     Warm wetness tells
     We're well past going back
You fall back into my body
     We join

     We join
     Melding, molding
     Skin fusing, skin burning
Two bodies and the ocean beat
     The shore

There are places inside our souls -
that have never been touched.
There are places inside our hearts -
that need to be loved this much.

Never saw this before.  VERY good.

Is it always 2 4 6 8 2?

I think I'd like to try this format.

remind me of your love
the way they shine..they taste and smell
of you

Sunshine-
~S~ Thanks (stutter much? ~G~)

Paula - Interloper -
Yes the rule is simple - 5 lines: 1st 2 syllables, 2nd 4, 3rd 6, 4th 8, and return to 2 for the 5th
Thank you - it is (can be) a fun form with much power and beauty

Victoria -
You must know how very much I appreciate a poetic response - your Cinquain is most beautiful!

Martie -
Cinquains can be fun - and with a great person to dwell on - it is easy to be inspired
