Based on Jim Croce's "Operator (But That's Not the Way It Feels)"

Moderator (oh) can you save us from this all?
You see Toerag's poems are too old and overrated.
He's living in a haze,
In his best old Toerag ways
A guy we've said we know well and have always baited.

CHORUS:

Isn't that the way they say it goes?
But lets forget all that,
And give us some peace if you can find it
So we can all adjust in time and show
We've overcome the blow,
We've learned to read it well,
I only wish these words could convince ourselves
That he just isn't real
But that's not the way it feels.

Moderator (oh) could help us from this all?
‘Cause we can't find the rhyming on his last page
There's something in our eyes
You know it happens every time
We think about his poems.  He writes below average.

Repeat Chorus

….no no no no that's not the way it feels

Moderator, let's forget about this all
There's no way we can ever make him better
Thank you for your time,
‘Cause you've been so much more than kind
And you'll delete him the next time

Repeat Chorus

Heh heh - ol' Toerag will be runnin' now

I can see who you are and even your Deer friend but I've always wondered who Toerag really is or should I say what he is. The name it's self leaves alot to the imagination. But it won't matter cause I think he's friends with the moderator, so no help is on the way.

lil SEA girl - I know I have greatly maligned Toerag's artistic style - after all, if it weren't for Toe, we would have never learned about the "Random Words" form of poetry - heh heh

Hi ya 2B - Ol' Toerag will respond with some vile writings bordering on the obtuse and obscene (notice how he likes the OB words?).  This will only inspire him to write more, I know - but it was worth a shot.

You asked for Trouble?
Well, here she be!
How dare you malign
Toe's poetry?
You misnamed this "poem"
It's title should be
Long John Suffers
From Jealousy!
If there's ever a thing
Toe's poems lack
Just blame it on
Your moderator's ax!

Let Jim Croce rest in peace and quit tryin' to run Toe off!!! LOL.

Hi ya, lil Belle - I knew you would come a runnin' and try to put some "reverse" spin on my most excellent characterization of that rascal Toe.  Are you a Democrat?  All your whining about injustice sounds hauntingly familiar - lol - Here's a hug.

Charisma - Well, we do know one thing for sure - Toe's response will sink to an ignominious soliloquy of my hereditary virtues.  Alas - *toes start tapping time*  Moderator, can you help us with this all.....

Here's a hug for you, too

John,
revenge is a dish best served cold
how could you have been so bold
you know he'll wait while you grow old
worrying about just when he'll fold
and comeback with riposte ker-blam
just hope he's not joined by his mate who loves spam.

Great write. I needed that.
write on

Kethry, Kethry, Kethry *shaking my head in a woebegone way*

Haven't you learned by now that Toe is all bark?  Except for his beard, of course, which is more like Spanish Moss, but not nearly as clean.  Toerag will not retaliate.  I know him well.

Nan - If there's anything else I can do to make your day start off right, you just let me know.  OK?  *high-libido wink*

It's not that Toerag is a bad poet so much as he's just.. well.. BAD...

Well, that Toe always writes better poems at closing time
I mean when it comes times to close down all the bars
After 10 or 20 beers
He thinks he writes like Balladeer
Foolish little critter
Poems are used for kitty litter
But still he stays convinced that he's some kind of star!!!

LongJohn! How can you pick on my dear friend Toerag like that??? (and so well, too!  )

Oh, I needed a good laugh this morning and this is hilarious, poor Toerag. Someone has to feel sorry for him

What is that you express in your eyes? It seems to me more than all the words I have read in my life.
