She Dreams

There's a big part of her that wants to be in just a tiny part of your heart
She never meant to be the reason or a memory that lives on while apart
Oh, she surely never meant for any days to be any part of gray
She sure wishes there was just one thing about her you missed today...

She has a heart that you chose so hard not to see
And, yet you hold the place, the one place, she hasn't yet got to be
How is it that in life only a few walk where they truly want?
When some dream but never feel the warmth in that sun...

She dreams, she does, to walk one day all day through
Not against, not without, not alone, but beside you
Is it too much to ask for to know what that is like?
When nothing falls harder then the tears on her pillow at night...

She stays faithfully there in your shadow with very little light for her
And, remains there waiting for the chance her heart may be heard
She does not mind the dark for that is where she dreams
But, did you know you're also that sadness that lives in me?...

She asks what did she do that you must run so far ahead?
And, why must she take all the questions unanswered to bed?
Though she dreams that in dreams she is always your friend
Then she wakes to find in real life she had never been...

When moments found you alone moments found her just the same
You must not ever forget that there are some that always sees your pain
It's usually those who stand back that are always the ones who can see
And, there in the dark may be your best friend if you'd just let me be...

Saun~
This is so sad, so full of a hopeful longing
You have penned your feelings very well and all I can say is that sometimes we have to wait for some things we long for and hope that fate is our friend and I do so hope she is yours

Tracie66 and Sven, Thank you two so much for responding to my poem and for taking the time to read it. It is a sad situation that I wrote about. I sure hope that the wait is worth it. I will wait knowing that maybe someday this person will acknowledge me. What's really sad is this person is suppose to be my family. Thank you two again for responding. It doesn't look like anyone else cared to read it. Take care.

Saunni~
This is such a heart-wrenching piece ...
The pain of searching, waiting, anticipating ... hoping -
are all wrapped up in it.

It sadly refrains of a child seeking acknowledgement from a parent
- that is sometimes a long and lonely journey.

I would hope that closure is found for the seeker -
and they never give up hope !
*Hugs*

Thank you, Marge, for reading this poem. I hope I don't give up either. I have wanted to many, many times. It just seems the longer I wait, the more I blame myself. Thanks for the kind words

Never give up my friend.  You have way too much heart for that and I won't have any of that negativity from you. Hugs to you and so very nice to see you posting again.  Stick around awhile and let the poetry and the poets caress you tender heart for a bit.
