Dictionary and Thesaurus,
A stack of paper, clean and white.
The sun is barely rising
And I've settled down to write.

Balls of paper in the basket,
On a page some lines of prose.
The clock is striking midnight.
Amazing how time goes.

So to bed. At dawn I'll spring out
Like a lion from a cage.
And I'll march straight to my desk,
And I'll finish that first page.

Oh, I've been there many a time!! Time sure does fly when we are engrossed in our attempts at writing, that's for sure!! This is delightful, Dom!

I have been there and done this!

Now, I use the keyboard and it's just as frustrating at times. I really enjoyed reading this.

i always use the keyboard...its easier i think...mainly because i cant read my own writing haa...sometimes i read my poems again the next day if i dont like them and they seem to fall in place better after i have had a good night sleep.
