Below the Mist

Beneath the clouds, below the mist
Within the haze there does exist
A secret thought , an unknown fact
A light of hope, to be exact

Beneath this woman’s aging face
A vision of another place
Encapsuled in the sphere of time
The memory of an hour devine

Hidden deep behind this smile
A truth defying self denial
A heart containing unseen tears
A secret held for years and years

The tears of joy and pain are mixed
Like falling wax on candle sticks
Below the glowing flame above
Fast disappears the wick of love

Behind this role of motherhood
Blanketed by deeds of good
There dwells a heart that never healed
But held a love it well concealed

Below the early morning mist
In dewdrops’s dome there does exist
A prismed light so truly blessed
Unnoticed there by all the rest

Wow the heart can truely keep its secrets

Sometimes you have to let go and move on,
But never let go of the memories.

no matter the subject - If I want to read the most lyrical - smooth flowing - I can count on you to provide - BUT so much more - freshness of rhyme - AND depth of feeling from someone who has many more dimensions.
this is a 5 * poem I'll treasure

I'm so touched that you can set us all above the mist. Your getting to have many "Jewels" around here. Just when I think you've out done yourself your back again with diamond.

Love ya, Dale

Wonderful dear Liz. There is such a beauty in memories held close to our hearts. Sometimes they come quietly back to the forefront, if only for a fleeting smile of remembrance and warmth that they bring to our souls. Beautiful sentiments.

Best wishes and many hugs to you,
/Kit

And so the heart spills forth a bit of it's secret to make room for life itself.  This was a wonderful write my friend and I know that the heart holds much in it and sometimes it is hard to release it but then there are those times that it is just necessary to.  You have done that here but seems as if it is not done spilling yet.  Wonderful as always

Mark, It's strange how much of me has been unleashed since I started writing poetry last year. There was a lot to be said
