So far away you are from me
The Miles keep us apart
But no distance do I feel
You are right here in my Heart.

Each heart beat bring us closer
To the day we will  entwine
Our hearts, our Love, Our Souls
Forever please be mine.

With the dawn of every day
I awake with a smiling face
Knowing as the hours pass
Soon our lives will be in place.

As day turns into darkness
The stars in the sky so Bright
They know that it will not be long
Till we are holding each other tight.

As I reach out my hand to you
Lay down here by my side
Come travel in my dreams with me
For my Love I cannot hide.

--------------
You got to get up every morning with a smile on your face
and show the world all the love in your heart
Then people are gonna treat you better
You're gonna find, yes you will
That your beautiful as you feel.~~~ Carol King

I am in a long distance relationship right now and your poem is so true!!!!  Even though you may be far away, it really doesn't feel that far.

Thanks all for your replies. Long distance is a hard thing to do. But I have 21 more days before I see my Love and I can hardly wait  . But it never seems that far for he is so in my heart always.

I was recently apart from my husband for almost six months! Every couple of weeks, one of us would fly the 2000 mile trip for a visit but it went by too fast and was never enough.  I grew to love him more with each passing day and like you, counted the days until we could be together again!  Thanks for sharing a great poem!

kitkat this is such a lovely poem, I really like this. Physically it might be far away, but when he's in your heart, he couldn't be nearer.
