From Real Age Tip of the Day: (sent to me by Lorelei)

It may seem strange, but studies show that if you adopt a similar stance or use similar gestures as the person you're communicating with, you're likely to be more attuned to his or her emotions. The phenomenon at work is known as physiological synchrony.

Hence, I may now open the door to a mystery.

I thought lil WhtDove was my friend,
Until I read her poem just today.
So I decided I needed to understand
Her better, in a feminine way.

Ask any man and he'll quickly reply,
Women are a wonderful mystery.
But now I know (thanks to Lorelei),
All about physiological synchrony.

Later today..............

I met lil WhtDove, who I befriended,
And applied my new device,
I asked her why our friendship ended,
Then watched for her reply.

She raised her eyebrows in surprise,
So I raised all the brows I've got
Then she blushed and blinked her eyes,
(This was harder than I thought.)

I said, "Excuse me," as I turned away,
Then slapped my face to make it red,
I turned back to her, ignoring the pain,
And watched closely to what she "said".

She stood up straighter and raised her chin,
So I responded with my own.
I didn't know the trouble I was in,
As back my head was thrown.

My neck cracked loudly as I imitated
lil WhtDove's feminine pose.
My head spun, my senses gyrated,
As self-inflicted agony rose.

"Why do you think I'm not your friend?"
Lil WhtDove innocently sought.
I responded with clear intent
To learn from whence she thought.

"I wondered why you'd been so mean,"
I thought my answer clever,
I wanted to see what her posture'd be.
What thoughts I could endeavor.

She replied in her feminine tone
Breasts thrust out in emphasis,
"I was only teasing you, John,"
How would I ever accomplish this?

I grasped my chest and then pulled,
To match WhtDove's profile.
I was sure I'd not be fooled
As I was learning the feminine style.

Geesh, it hurts to pull like that!
My chest was feeling bruised.
But I was learning, that's a fact,
To not be a woman's tool!

She saw where my gaze had been
And blushed even redder still.
Let me tell you, my fellow men,
These lessons can really kill.

I turned my back and slapped again,
To match her divine complexion.
Then I turned back to see if then,
I could answer this great question.

Her back was straight, mine was bent,
As we stood there face to face.
So I straightened mine with the intent
To see if my instincts could be erased.

Geesh, it hurts to stand like that!
My poor spine cried out to me.
I could feel my vertebrae crack,
As I copied what I had seen.

Now I'm standing in front of Dove,
My chest and back are shot,
What could I have been thinking of,
For all this pain I've got?

I meekly said, "It's nothing dear,
I was only dismayed, you see?"
"I thought I was special in here."
To which she laughed at me.

So, I laughed with Dovey as best I could,
And swore I'd never try again,
To understand wonderful Womanhood.
Don't err like I did, men!

Just stand in awe of all you see,
And realize you're blessed by them.
Don't worry about the great mystery,
Just be glad they love us, men.

LJ, you did it again, made me think and made me laugh all in the one breath. However as they say on TV these people have been professionally trained, don't try this at home folks.

Things men and women think they have to do to attract opposite sex.

Men suck in gut

Women suck in gut
tuck in butt
stick out breasts
All the while keeping their balance.
It takes practice for a woman to make it
look easy.

Keep practicing LngJhn you can dress as a woman for your halloween costume.

Yanno - lil Lorelei took advantage of me and took me to a party last night.  Now, men, read this and LEARN!  This synchronicity stuff might work one-on-one, but in a party situation it is MURDER!!!  Especially if you try sitting down next to a woman.  Lemme tell you guys, when they cross their legs, we aren't built like that!!!  There is no way in the world I will ever try to cross my legs like that.. again.  Additionally, I made the mistake of getting drawn into a conversation with a group of women.  I suspect Lorelei had something to do with that.  I think the lesson I tried to teach all the men has been proven to be good advice.

Thank you one and all for your supportive comments.  I know I should write more romantic stuff, but my muse is a wee bit playful.  I do think there is some romance in this poem, as it was Lorelei who inspired it, and just about everything the lil flirt does has a romantic component.
