Scientists for years have felt
intelligence is found
when the brain's not small and svelte
and rather large and round

For years and years the larger brain
from the male of the species
led us females to feel pain
to think  us worms or faeces

Man's superior attitude,
in his ability to think
logically with platitude
makes the female shrink

Women's strong emotions
are seen as twisted and as sick
and their family devotions
by men, are seen as something slick

But here's some information
you all need to see
as leaders of the nation
men, don't do as well as we

So here to teach the lesson
from warped and twisted minds
I don't want to take your blessing
but we've left you far behind

Scientific wisdom bound
a new idea is mooted
it's not the size where wit is found
it's a brain more convoluted

but it is the loss that shapes the image,
gathers the flowers weaves the garland."-

I have never thought that men were smarter than women, it's a known fact that most men think with their little head.

ahem   male voice here.  I for one have never felt that women are in any way inferior to men, except maybe when I was five, but back then all girls were, and I quote, "EEEWWWIIIEEE".

Different, that we may be,
But take a closer look and see
Never have I thought less of you
And I ask that the same you do.

Total equality is the way to go, realy.  Interesting poem.

on behalf of my gender... HEY!
just cause we're better doesn't mean we think we're...superior or something.

for real though, an awesome bit of rhymme here. i dig the last two stanzas. great work, and very well penned.

"When you feel
like you've had it up to here
'cause you mad enough to scream
but you sad enough to tear...
that's Rock Bottom."

Thanks everyone,  I believe that men are like women in that some are nice and some are not so nice and some are in a class of their own.
But as someone once said "it doesn't make you less of a slave because you have a good master."

Ha, this is a great one Kethry. I agree that most men don't use their brain to think anyway. (the notable exceptions of course are all the poets here  LOL )
And of course there are good ones and bad ones and bla bla bla. But this is a very cool poem.

Bigger brains reallY??? come to think of it I remember hearing that somewhere. Well isn't the brain just part of the over all package. Besides women get maternal instinct and wisdom and us men only get a bigger brain (aka Larger storage space for junk) so in the end I think men are the ones who got the raw deal LOL. LOved the poem, Kethry

"an afixiation a fix on anything the line of life the limb of a tree
the hands of he and the promise that s/he is blessed among women".
Patti Smith
