Sweet Release

Sometimes it is so hard to say
what lays behind the laundry
and these damn old tennis shoes
but I want to dangle this anyway
by the shoestring that is hope
and walk across the rope
into dainty slippers pointing out

But when I play it
I find I am walking backward
away from the blossoms
and the garden is fallow

listen I will tell you
as this fly crawls across the screen
dissecting my thought
with feet that have been
in God knows what obscenity

I will tell you
that I watch the sky for comment
and see it implode
like reverse gravity
and I want to be sucked in
in to this vortex
and take this ambiguous feeling
and throw it to the core
to a place where I have never been
where there is a cavern
and the echo of my voice
saying yes yes yes yes yes

but it is so far
and there is no map

So I walk on grass with bare feet
and wait for the gardener
to rake up all my thoughts
and pile them into colorful
so I can jump into their center
and toss them into what for
and then lay with them in sweet release

Martie

This was beautifully penned.  Can a little kitty kat come play with you and chase your thoughts with the gardener.  Maybe I'll catch one and revel in its bliss because your thoughts are so beautiful.
Thanks for the wonderful read.< !signature-->

Martie-
Choosing between what's behind the laundry
and
the imploding sky...
WOW!
And you view this wih such enviable clarity (yes clarity) ...
Need I say I thought of rolling in fall leaf piles today?

Martie, I enjoy the way this piece seems to come from the depths of the forest floor, pushing its way toward the light. A pleasure to read.

Martie~
You took me to the backyard -
plopped me down in a leaf pile loaded with
the most amazing thoughts -
I think I'll just stay right there !
Love n' hugs~

Raking them up to jump in again...what a wonderful write from you my friend.  Sometimes we just have to accept the most simple things in life regardless of what we think we want.  Why do you think the little things are so inviting to us in the first place?  Ever notice that we find ourselves as adults looking around to see if someone is watching and when we think all is safe we just go for it...too bad we so often lose that innocense we carried as a young child.
