Coppertone curls framed the face, Of this angelic little lad, He was wearing corduroy coveralls, And a soft flannel shirt like his dad. Sweet downy wings upon his back, On his feet tiny P.F. Flyers, A little tool belt around his waist, Holding hammers and nails and pliers. An impish grin upon his face, There was mischief in his green eyes, With a slingshot in his back pocket, He flew through heaven's night skies. Off to a cloud across the way, Where his cherub friends were waiting, Anxious to get this game started, As the nighttime dark was abating. A little one dressed in denim, Tossed a rope up into the skies, Trying to lasso some twinkling stars, For the other two little guys. Soon there was a pile of them, To shoot through heaven's night air, They giggled with anticipation... This mischievious little pair. Placing the stars in the well worn sling, They pulled back, and let them go, Shooting stars through the night..... Just thought you'd like to know.
