1) POEM TO MYSELF

You don't have to chase a rainbow my child,
Or waste wishes on some distant star.
If you're dreaming of this place they call LOVE...
Understand that it's right where you are.
Dive to the depths of the ocean my friend,
Go and climb to a mountainous peak.
Search far and search wide and then search inside...
To discover the answers you seek.

2) MY DREAM

Where the mountains touch the sky
Where poets DREAM, where eagles fly
A secret place above the crowds
Just beneath Silver-Lined clouds
Lift your eyes to a snowy peak
And see the soon- to- be we seek
Whisper DREAMS and let them rise
To the mountains old and wise
Climbers climb, it's time to try
Where the mountains touch the sky

Take me there. Oh take me now
Someway, Someday, Somewhere, Somehow

Where the ocean meets the sky
Where mermaid dance and seagulls fly
A place in DREAMS I know so well
The sea inside a single shell
Far across the living sea
A pale blue possibility
Beyond the castles made of sand
Tomorrow in a small child's hand
Only DREAMERS need apply
Where the ocean meets the sky

Take me there. Oh take me now
Someway, Someday, Somewhere, Somehow

Where the forests reach the sky
Men are equal and doves still fly
No thorns of war, a perfect rose
This is where the green grass grows
Out beyond the crystal stream
Like Dr. King I have a DREAM
Imagine such a goal in sight
For red and yellow, black and white
Whisper now, let the DREAM begin
It's time to trust the truth within
This is where we seek and find
A gift in being colorblind
Dream on Dreamers, hopes are high
Where the forests reach the sky

Take me there. Oh take me now
Someway, Someday, Somewhere, Somehow

Now, listen close, the future calls
"Build your bridges and tear down walls! "
For time has taught and so it seems
Realities are born of DREAMS

3) POEM TO YOUNG POETS

"Be who you are and say what you feel,
because those who mind don't matter and
those who matter don't mind." ~ Dr. Seuss

You speak for the lakes
The trees and the birds
You say what they'd say
If they had the words
Make peace and be proud
Choose well every choice
Speak HOPE and speak loud
You are Nature's voice
Speak for the mountains
The jungles and streams
Speak for all wildlife
And dream giant dreams
Speak with great courage
Speak up and speak out
Write with a whisper
Or write with a shout
Stand up young poets
For oceans and rivers
Free verse or lyric
Your message delivers
Truth for the future
Citizens of Earth
Speak of your freedom
Your friends and self worth
Speak for tomorrow
And though you're still young
Speak for the forest
Your pen is her tongue
The world waits to hear
Your songs still unsung
Words posses power
You can write the wrongs
Teach us and lead us
With poems and with songs
Speak now for Nature
For trees and for birds
Defenders of Earth
Choose careful your words

Oh my ... each is truly lovely Todd. I am particularly fond of the whimsical flow in your "Poem to Young Poets" ... so full of poignant messages, and yet such a sweet and light-hearted flow ... excellent writing!

Best wishes,
/Kit

Temptress: TY  TY  TY  for such an enthusiastic reply. I had writer's block for the last couple months & I've been busier than a one-armed paper hanger with work & moving. Again TY!

Kit: I am sure you noticed that only the first one in this trilogy is actually new, the second & third are repost from July. "My Dream" will be in the upcoming Passions/NetPoets book! Thanx for your kind words!

Alle'cram: I don't know about the famous part but the rich part would sure come in handy about now... (From your mouth to God's ears) LOL. Glad you enjoyed these 3 & thanks for the encouragement!
