They can charm the Oprahalics,
They can do a shadow dance
Around important issues,
And when they have a chance

To embarrass one another,
They jump in with hands and feet.
They're about as sly and slippery
As any two you'll ever meet.

Each wants to be the leader
Of these United States.
Each expects to win our votes
Based on Mickey Mouse debates.

So the lesser of two evils
Seems again to be the choice.
And disenchanted voters
In an unequivocal voice

Will speak out against the process,
Not by deigning to deplore it;
But come November 7,
They'll just sit home and ignore it.

Y'know...I must have read this one five times now...so I guess it's time for my reply...grin...sigh.  It just frustrated me I think, very much like being in the voting booth...so I must say, job well done.  Point, most definitely proven!  So...what's a poor voter gonna do?

It is more than a right to vote, its our duty, we may not like our main two choices, but they arnt the only ones out there, and unless more people get out and vote for the candidate of thier choice (not neccisarily Republican or Democrat) thier voice in the government will go unheard.  Good message from a good poem.

Wouldn't it be great if a person could be nominated and run for office and not be dripping in money. Too bad it takes money to get in the running. Very good poem, Dom!

Vote we should do and not complain when the one that wins gets it when we haven't even voted, I feel it's something everyone should do. I really liked this poem.
