Listening to every heart

                    Elusive Reality

                    and it strikes her again
                    directly in her core,
                    and pragmatically,
                    she recognizes the
                    veracity
                    of the day

                    so the desires of the
                    eve before remain
                    as elusive as a
                    butterfly
                    or a dust mote
                    in the light
                    of the
                    sun’s stream
                    through
                    the morning

                    the truth weighs
                    heavy on her
                    mind, the
                    flicker of
                    hope,
                    elusive,
                    fluttering there
                    within her heart,
                    it’s struggle to live
                    to see another
                    night
                    after
                    what will occur
                    this day
                    as reality,
                    so easily
                    pinning her down

                    instead of her
                    grasping
                    the dream

                    heavy, heavy
                    this sensation of
                    the lost

                    this elusive reality

Sunshine.....
Reality always comes along and shakes one out of their dreams.......but still there is a 'flicker of hope'.......dream on.........

SEA, Marcy, Amy, Sunny1, some days there's more hope than others...but the dreams will never die...there will always be the 'flicker'...

As they say...sometimes "Reality Sucks"...but if you believe in your dreams then reality can become that of what you dream of so often.  May not happen overnight but it can happen.  After all, wasn't it a dream one time for some little boy to fly or another to walk on the moon?  Wonderful write my friend.  Hold on to whatever your dream my be.

Karilea, loud applause
and lots of noise
Love this rhyme
It's about time
We flew,
We the few
With our dreams
Forget the schemes
Hold the hope
As tight as a rope
That holds the heart
And the soul not apart
Karilea it's true
That if not for you
Marsha's dream could die
When your work makes me fly

Karilea, this is amazing. (And I know my rhyme isn't that good but, I just had to leave you a little something) Oh and I love it.
Take care
                     Marsha

Mark, thank you. When I go to sleep, I look forward to what I might see, and I do thank each and every day for what it brings...

Kit, thanks for validating that others out there can relate...that means much...

Marsha, your poem is wonderful, and adds yet another dimension for us that would travel to the stars...thank you so very much...{~,^}

These days. . . I find that I have plenty of reality. . . couldn't I just not have any for one day?

Wonderful my friend. . .

Written straight from my heart, Karilea, the flicker of hope, the reality that tries so hard to take away the dreams. Perfect, beautiful, and so very true.

Karilea~
Where hope has flickered
a candle once burned brightly -
The trick is finding the match
to light it once again ...
Hope flickers in the eternal internal light !

Beautiful write.

Sven, the answer is: not getting out of bed...LOL...[sorry!]

Cat, all of my stuff is, [un]fortunately, straight from the real me...

Marge, where's that bonfire when I need it?
