IF ONLY

If only I had told you
all the things I had to say
I rehearsed them in my mind
so many times each day.

But never seemed to find
the right time to say
there was always something
that kept getting in the way.

Now it is too late you see
cause you have gone away
Maybe if I'd said them you'd
still be here today

But now you're gone
and I am very lonely
repeating over in
my mind......IF ONLY....

Yes, it is so important to connect with another and have yourself validated, oh Lord, how I know this, and regret, and going back, all of that. I don't know if I've welcomed you, but welcome and I hope to read more of your words and your thoughts. Thank you for sharing them with us.

I have seen too often people who wait too long to say what they should... hope we won't be the one's saying "if only" hoping I will get the time to share and read more of others works..I come here when I need fodder for my soul......nona
