He comes to her in dreams.
Thats the only way she can visit him now.
It's the only thing she lives for and that which gives her hope of brighter tomorrows.
In dreams he sits beside her and shows her photo albums.
Albums tearing at the seams holding inside everything from photos to old flowered greeting cards saved from long ago. And she still hears his stories...
The reality she holds onto is a story.
He told her a story of a boxer dog named "Halo". Halo was at the vet and gave birth to two white puppies, the vet called and asked how he would like him to dispose of the white ones.
You see, the white ones were not prized ones and would never amount to anything.
So he told the vet to hang on to them, he would pick them up with the rest of the litter and "dispose" of them himself.
He gave one to his brother and the other to the paper boy.
And she knew in an instant this man had captured her heart.
While shopping one day, a beenie baby, a white bear called "Halo" had caught her eye.
"Halo" sits on the dash of her car and watches over her.
For the man who touched her heart with the most incredible story she had ever heard, for the man who had a kind heart, she lovingly looks on at "Halo" and remembers him and knows and seeks comfort that he is never far away.

I enjoy this every time I've read it, it's really a story in poetry form, just lovely

and the sun drips honey.""

that was so pretty, I loved this one, it reminded me of all the great things in life, and that no matter how much some depicts something you can always find something special.
