Eyes Upon You

I've seen breath-taking sunsets...with the sky all aglow
Witnessed mountains that almost touched heaven...their tops completely in snow
And I've heard a baby's cry...one of the sweetest sounds, it's true
But I had never seen true beauty...until I laid eyes upon you

I've watched the power of the sea as it crashes and meets the edge of the shore
Inhaled the sweet fragrance of flowers...roses, tulips, gardenias and more
And I've felt the softness and grace of an angel...in every-thing she did do
But I had never known true beauty...until I laid eyes upon you

I've watched the wings of a butterfly...softly unfold before it said good-bye
The sheer beauty of this alone...brought tears from my baby-blue eyes
Heard the most exquisite music float in the air...almost instantly knowing its tune
But I had never known true beauty...until I laid eyes upon you

I've seen a magnitude of georgeous stars...as they danced across a midnight sky
And I've looked up the heavenly sky during the day...watched clouds pass by
Rainbows of a multitude colors as it shimmers from high above...in a beautiful hue
But I had never known true beauty...until I laid eyes upon you

I've felt the soft warm breeze of summer...as it gently blew across my face
Felt the softest of satin, silk, and carressed the delicacy of purely fine lace
Many wonders of the world I have heard, felt, and seen...but I didn't have a clue
What real beauty was...that didn't occur until I laid eyes upon you

Aimie, And I never knew true beauty till I laid eyes on this. What a beautiful poem, in the true sense of the word. This touched me so deeply, I think you can probably guess that I think this is very special.
