A Fiendish Sea

So often my thoughts travel to days
gone by when the adversary was quickly
scragged, and the well placed entry of a
cutlass would halt a lady's fears.

Yet, should I falter losing my own self
blindly stumbling to seize his breath --
I would only become partner to his crime
and to that end robbing you of my heart.

The balm of my soft touch would be
of no service, and my tender whispers
but a memory.
Locked away from your want of me,
I would fail you eternally.

So my focus sharply turns from the
trough where the pig feeds upon his
own dung, as my lamp becomes
warmer in the rescue of your heart.

Within the stormy daggers of a fiendish
sea, I lay my eyes upon you.
My passion deliberate -- tirelessly reaching --
I cast my net around you.
Snug within its saving grace, I pray your
healing to begin. The warm bed of my
heart and soul awaits your troubled brow.

Oh my, Robert ... it just doesn't get any better than this! Beautiful sentiments here ... this brings such noble images to mind of one who can gently and patiently wait for that which he desires, and such rewards you will find if treated with this tender healing style ... sigh, just wonderful wording and imagery!

Best wishes,
/Kit
