Searching for the reason why
I feel so like I do
and talking to a friend of mine
who says she's quite blue too...

We talked and joined our troubled minds
to help each other out
'cause looking in from other sides
is clearer seen, no doubt

I feel like I am wasting time
I feel I'm bored with life
I'm deep in need of some small sign
to guide me towards my light

I've nothing to be sad about
I have it pretty good
great family, friends, without a doubt
and by me they have stood

I have my fun and push the edge
and break the boundries too
I laugh and smile and walk the "ledge"
do things I should'nt do

I love, give hugs and kisses too
I give and I receive
I talk, I listen and stand true
in these things I believe

But still, aside from all the good
there lies this emptiness
the good, the bad, most understood
why should I feel like this?

I love the simple, little things
and notice all them too
I smile when touched by others hearts
I love those things they do

But after that, I'm empty still
dont know just what I need
I think I need to learn to stop
and see what's here for me

Where do I go? what do I do?
to shut this feeling out?
when I still haven't 'but a clue
what brings this feeling out?

Strive for higher levels, if they seem out of reach... Grow, and they will get closer.

Have you been peaking into my brain Thunderkyss? You've expressed so many of the questions I have, and so perfectly in rhyme and rhythm. Wonderful poem! If you find the answer ... you'll have to let me know, for I've been searching for answers to these same questions for far too long ... excellent expression!

Best wishes,
/Kit

This one holds a very powerful message...There have been many times in my life that I've asked the same question and although I rarely get an answer I can relate to the feeling...like there is just something more...  You've penned the feelings perfectly and must say that this is one of my favorites from you...by the sheer emotion and honesty that you have woven with.  Great writing...and best of luck to you!

ThUnDeRkYsS,
I don't have any answers either but it's nice to know someone else could pen some of the things I was feeling. It means I'm not alone. Excellent write.
Be well

Thank you Thank you Thank you... to all of you    I appreciate your kind words and see that I am not alone, not that this makes me happy that you guys to often feel like this, but because I feel like I amongst a group of friends who are sharing their support.  I'm glad you were touched by this, that makes me think I am doing something right :P lol.  Thanks again for kind comments and showing me I am not alone

Well, pretty impressive! You figured me all out just from one conversation. But the feeling of isolation, I guess, is universal. Unfortunately.  What a great expression of that feeling.
