This Is The House That Love Built

(apolgies for the similarity to the nursery rhyme
but it is quite intentional)

This is the house
that love built

This is the fire
that burns with passion
that warms the house
that love built

These are the windows
that shine with hope
that lights the fire
that burns with passion
that warms the house
that love built

This is the garden
all planted with beauty
that surround the windows
that shine with hope
that lights the fire
that burns with passion
that warms the house
that love built

This is the woman
with the shining heart
that tends the garden
all planted with beauty
that surround the windows
that shine with hope
that lights the fire
that burns with passion
that warms the house
that love built

This is the man
with the smiling eyes
that loves the woman
with the shining heart
that tends the garden
all planted with beauty
that surround the windows
that shine with hope
that lights the fire
that burns with passion
that warms the house
that love built

These are the stars
that sparkle with joy
looking over the man
with the smiling eyes
that loves the woman
with the shining heart
that tends the garden
all planted with beauty
that surround the windows
that shine with hope
that lights the fire
that burns with passion
that warms the house
that love built

Marsha, within the walls of this house, I'm sure hearts are smiling! Nicely done.

Sven, thank you, I really like that, now if I could rattle off an impromptu verse, I wouldn't have such an ache in my poor brain.
Take care, and thanks for the verse and the kind words.

Amie, Yes upbeat, that's exactly how I feel, well actually i feel just very content. Take care, and remember to smile. Thank you for replying I know you've got other things on your mind right now, so I'm honoured that you choose to read this little poem of mine.

Marsha--this is charming...and it is so true...where there is love, a shack is a castle.

Daniel, Thanks for taking the time to read this, and reply. I'm so pleased you liked it, and yes it is a dream home. It's my dream to live in the house that love built, which in fact I do, because I live with my love, and where he is I am.

Martie, I thank you most especially for taking the time to read this. I really appreciate that you have taken the effort and the time to reply. I know that your time must be very precious to you, particually when you have so much going on. You are right of course, with love a shed is transformed into a castle, and without it a castle becomes a house of cards.
I just wanted to say to you, that I and my work collegues are praying for you, and in our hospital chapel we have placed a copy of the prayer that Mark posted. To enable those who wish so to do, to add their prayers. We also have placed a candle, which will carry our prayers to heaven, and this is replaced regularly
Take care

this is the girl who lights up the stars
with wisdom and wit and loud hurrahs
who helped the people all bearing scars
who gave pure encouragement from afar
who writes as she feels refreshing as spas
who cares for the people both near and far
and offers comfort wherever you are
that lives in the house that love built.

Marsha, Marsha, Marsha you just keep getting better and better.
Be well

Kit, that is so nice of you, and I'm happy that it left you with a smile. You know that I adore your work, so a compliment from you is indeed, a gift that I will treasure.
Now you keep that smile shining, because it comes through, it really does. Take care

Kethry, Oh! How sweet of you, this is a verse that I shall keep, with all my precious keepsakes. You are far to kind to me, and I truly appreciate both your reply and the fact that you wrote such a wonderful verse.
Take care

Thought for the day, spread a little happiness. By passing on a smile, or a friendly chat, maybe even something as simple as answering a question with a thoughtful reply.
May the day bring you pleasure, and joy.
(In case any of you wonder why I'm putting these little thoughts on my post, the answer is simple. It's because sometimes we all need to remind ourselves that we are here not as punishment, but as a celebration of life, so enjoy it.)

A very lovley house built on love.  Of course when a home has the foundation of love and friendship how could it not be lovely.  Wonderful take on the nursery rhyme

Mark my friend, why thank you, I always welcome seeing your name on any posts. Simply because you are always so giving of praise, not that I deserve it, but you give it abundantly anyway. Your replies are always full of beautiful wisdom, and sound sense. As for my house that love built, it is as solidly built as a rock, and will stand until the end of time, and even then it will still exisit.
Take care
