Hello, your email
   says to me
Its 3:30 and I am
   on my way
Its a two hour drive
   if I hurry.
Two hours to do all
   those womanly things
LOL you guys just
   havent a clue
So I primped and
   I prettied
Chose my clothes with
   such care
Then walked out
   the door
To this blind date
   with you
We met at the friends
   who gave you my name
Our conversation flowed
   just like online
We laughed and we
   teased each other
While the day slowly
   faded to dusk
We popped popcorn and
   watched with childish glee
A BOND...JAMES BOND
   movie marathon
Then slipped quietly
   away
Into the chill
   autumn night
To walk under that
   harvest moon
To stroll in the park
   like young lovers
Holding hands, stealing kisses,
   even a hug or two
Then we went back
   to face the teasing
Told ya she's a
   romantic fool
You just smiled and
   said to me softly
Then I guess I
   must be one too.

What an honest read, and so uplifting, carried me through all of the stages of how the feeling would really be. Good writing here.

I've been hanging out to read part II for a while now Paula.     A lovely read!

Paula,
at last!
Even in my petulance I've been waiting impatiently for this one.
You didn't disappoint me.
Be well

Paula

I met someone special on a blind date once.  It was great.  I hope your special someone is still around.  You certainly penned it beautifully.
