Just a thought.....If you respond to everyone who has replied to you all at once in one comment, rather than responding to each individual person who comments to your poetry in a separate reply, you will avoid bringing your post repeatedly up to the top of the forum, thereby, inadvertantly and without purposely doing so, dismissing other poets who have posted and want their work to be read.

Just a thought and since you are new here, as am I, I think, then I thought you might be interested in hearing these comments.

I enjoyed your poem. Thank you for posting it. Yes, sometimes there is no rhyme, no reason, or so it seems... but underneath, there always is and that is the meaning that should be searched for, according at least to the humble wisdom of some myth like Athena.

May all truths become apparent to you and relevant and may you discover that my words here were in no way negative, but instead, filled with the power of the forums. Peace.

You didn't read my comment??? hmmmm..... well, Please please PLEASE do NOT respond to it in order to kick your post back up top because Wisdom dictates this isn't a good idea.... When you responded to Coco, you still have FIVE OR SIX MORE people to respond to... o n e a t a t i m e... so you can continually bump your poem up top while OTHER PEOPLE... (hmmmmm.... YESSSS!!!! there are other poets here).... watch their posts silently and quietly slip to page 2, 3, 4 and beyond within hours

No, I am not a Moderator.

But Moderate this..... when several people have responded to you, DO NOT respond to EACH individually because it isn't fair to the rest who are trying to get read.

Read my Wisdom. I am Athena.

Thank you.... and no need to respond to me.

Wisdom also dictates that while some suggestions may be good ideas, the manner they are presented in is just as important as the message they convey.

One of the cornerstones of Passions is the POLITE interaction of our members. Polite interaction does not include berating another member. Suggestions are wonderful, and something which we can use to help our newer members "learn the ropes." Your suggestion, Athena, is a good one. The manner it was presented in however doesn't quite fit within the spirit of Passions.

Read my wisdom, I am Christopher.

And I AM a moderator.

I apologize for the rude manner I presented my complaint. I did compliment your poem and made comments about the topic and the way you presented the poem, however, in my first comment.

I guess sometimes I'm not all a Goddess is cracked up to be.

I'm only a myth, after all.

I hope you change your mind, Maureen. You would certainly be missed around here. Sometimes things are said, tempers flare, here, just as in our private lives. I didn't add my comments to this earlier, as a moderator, because I think Christopher spoke for the rest of us. I think he handled the situation well and caused the original situation to turn around. Please take a few days to think things over. Decisions made when we are upset are not always our best decisions. Please feel free to contact me or one of the other Moderators whenever you feel that there is a problem of any kind. One of us is usually around at any given time. Also, if you want a poem locked or deleted, you must email one of the Moderators of that particular forum. A Moderator from another forum cannot do these funtions, they can only do it in their designated forums. That your poem was not locked does not mean that your request was not honored...it may just mean that one of the Moderators who can do that is not online at the moment. Again, I hope you reconsider. I hope to read more from you in the future, here at Passions.

We write poetry.  We're not threads of anger, hurt, WE ARE POETRY. I simply say we move it to a personal e-mail, write, leave if we wish but respect one another's viewpoints and make poetry the main theme and remember that Passions has dignity and class. That's why I'm here and I hope that's why others are also. < !signature-->

No? Yes? Are you going to take your ball and go home now? Well, that's up to you because I'm not playing any more. I have kids to take care of at home.

I understand your hurt, Maureen. It's also easy to think that no one cares if an email is not replied to in a timely manner. We aren't on line all the time, ourselves. Sometimes I am not on line for a day or two in a row, depending on how badly I was beaten up at work on a particular day. The best way to reach one of the Moderators of a particular forum is to email the 'General Alert' option. Then all the Moderators of that forum as well as Ron will receive it at the same time and whoever happens to be on line will be able to address any problem immediately. No one of us can be on 24/7. Again, I hope you reconsider your decision. I would miss your ~softsmiles~ and ~softhugs~

Mmoonchild..it looks like i have been doing something wrong too..now im afraid to respond to anyone incase someone is offended..i thought it was more courtesy to respond to each individually and give the people who missed my poem a chance to read it too...You will be missed by me if you leave..i know I let someone get to me in another forum and i wish i could of just ignored them..I hope your disagreement with just one person does not make us all suffer from your absence my good friend..HUGS..

Maureen, (onceuponatime),

Another excellent writing by you. As far as the comments I have just read. Please answer any replies as you wish. One at a time, or all at once. I know that when I receive a single reply, it just seems to me to be more personal. But I must add, that in a grouping they are also meaningful to me.

Onceuponatime as William Bendex used to say "What a Revolting Development this Is".
The sad part of this is you have lots of beautiful poetry to share and if we could put this behind us the moderators will work out any problems...I have rairly seen this forum used in a negative way where other poets have felt as if they must act as moderators and straighten out other poets...but I have seen it before...I hope this is the end of that...take care of yourself Poet..softly...James

I am not a moderator.
I want no control.
I am just a fallen Goddess,
fallen in a hole.
A Goddess, yes, can surely err,
just like a human being.
Life sometimes just isn't fair;
apologies are spoken.
And that's all that you can ask,
sincerity's no token.
Christ said when a man approaches
asking for forgiving,
forgive him nine times ninety-nine
and then just go on living.
Buddha said let's live in peace
while contemplating nature,
and no matter what you say,
there never is erasure.
Words are spoken, sometimes yes,
and words are not deleted.
Sorry is word I said
repeatedly repeated.

*shrug*
