State of constant confusion!

I AM

I am sleeping, I am dreaming
I wonder if I'll ever wake
I see a light at the end of the tunnel
Oh God, how I want to awake
I am sleeping, I am dreaming

I pretend to be alive as I walk through this world
I feel all eyes burning upon my skin
I touch my thoughts with only but a scream
I worry that someone may oneday see through this facade
I cry for the lost souls who don't know who they are
I am sleeping, I am dreaming

I have come to understand I shall always slumber
But I say life is hard, never gives, only takes
I do still dream though of finding the real me
I try to see things the way they are
God, I hope this is over soon
I am sleeping, I am dreaming

Thank you for this lovely look inside your soul....I see much beauty there along side the pain.

Love and hugs,
Lizzie

I felt sadness as I read this, it was great to know you better, but I can only wish you could find peace within yourself and this world.   Great writing anyway.

very deep and honest Jeffery...
and  yes, M, inspires us daily...
and makes us reach deep...
which is a good thing me thinks
I was wondering as I read this...
are you writing this thru his eyes...
or yours...perhaps both..
excellent writing Jeff.

To get these towns behind me and I
Will gladly reap what we may sow--
I am there for you ...
and you're there for me ...
Are you waiting for
Heart in hand
Woman and man
See me where I stand I am

Heart in hand

Jeffrey, the first one was good, but this is phenomenal....I'm very glad you took the time to get this a second go-round....wow.

Huh?  Oh man....my alarm just went off....so much for continued dreaming...

~Jeff

This was exquisite! I am honored to learn more about you. You truly have a wonderful heart and soul...both while you are awake and while you are dreaming. and i agree w/ jan...michael inspires us everyday to go to the depths of our souls and to produce work that is beautiful, honest, and intense. and this my friend you have most definitely achieved. a first class piece for sure!

take care,
Amy

Thanks guys, This piece just wrote itself so I suppose there is a part of me hidden in there somewhere. You will never know how it warms my heart to hear such sweet words of compliment. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.

And yes Micheal truly does bring out the best in all of us. For that I am most grateful.

All my love,
Jeffrey
