(Okay, it's short and sweet, blame it on the drugs, but at least it's writing )
From Your Lips To Mine

If I could fly on wings of gold
In endless skies of blue
I’d fly above the high tree tops
To find my way to you

If I could swim in graceful strokes
Upon the azure sea
I'd span the width of oceans deep
To bring you near to me

If I could dream a thousand dreams
Each night here in my sleep
I'd find a way to dream of you
And hold you in my keep

If I had just one moment left
Before this world was through
I'd draw my final, precious breath
From the lips of you

To love means never to be afraid of the windstorms of life: should you shield the canyons from the windstorms you would never see the true beauty of their carvings. ~Elizabeth Kubler-Ross

Ruth,

My mother believes your poetry rates as some of the best and as my english teacher I've never been able to argue with her. When she reads any of my poetry... she says, "This is good Dale, though... but I'm unfamiliar with this writing "way" they call prose. Did you two by any chance go to the same school..? This is very nice Ruth and if mother saw it she'd tell me again about the rules. She stills loves me and likes what I write, but never fails to tell me of my unruly writs.

And I know you're always waiting for me ...
You take me far away,
And I know you're holding me ...
And it's better now ...

I didn't know of problems but have added you to prayer list. Please do get better. We need a teacher who knows the rules. Passions is like a kitchen without the mother cookin'.

Hoot - what a beautiful poem!  It reminds me of one I wrote, called If, which I will post today - but yours is much more elegant and lovely!  I was not aware of your health problems, though - sorry to hear that you're not feeling "tip-top."  Please be assured that you are in my prayers!
Again, thank you for this wonderful, uplifting poem!

Short, yes, but done with your usual style and grace that I have come to love and admire over the past year. Thank you, Ruth...
