Two short months ago, I met a friend and I wrote this for him. I have truely met none like him. May our friendship endure all that is set in front of it. Brian, if you read this, thanks for just being there.

Cold and shaking,
In the night.
Alone and quaking,
In my fright.

You came along,
And picked me up.
You sheltered me,
When things were rough.

You listened,
When I made no sense.
You held me till,
My tears were spent.

You've shared my fears,
You've read my soul.
My comfort was,
Your only goal.

You helped me,
Let my weakness show.
You stuck right in,
When I said go.

You wouldn't let,
Me run away.
You told me,
You were here to stay.

I was lost,
And all alone.
Then came you,
To call my own.

Where you been, woman?!?!!? I've missed you with your sincerity-drenched poetry! This one is no exception and there is one very lucky fella. I hope he knows that....

There are but a lucky few, who are chosen and blessed to have friends whom they can lean upon. You seem to be one amongst them.

Well written, I did like it immensely.

sudhir

Take each day as it comes,
Consider each day as a flight,
Try hard to succeed and fly,
Surely then you will reach some height.

But if by some chance you don’t,
Remember that tomorrow will always come.
Learn this well and learn this hard
That today’s efforts will pay for tomorrow’s fun.
