'Only one more sleep!' said my son,
As I tucked him into bed cuddling a rabbit tight,
'And tomorrow all your Easter dreams will come true!', I said,
He smiled with sheer delight.

Sleep somewhat evasive it eventually came,
Dylan was dreaming of Eggs and bunnies galore,
Then first thing this morning he awoke with a jump,
Running up the hallway to see what awaited him on the lounge room floor.

Wow!  There were little golden footprints,
Leading from the front door,
Leading towards the rocking chair,
Where Dylan's Easter gifts were stored.

His big blue eyes were bigger than ever,
Round as saucers they were,
He saw the little gold footprints,
And the Easter gifts awaiting him on the chair.

The Easter Bunny knew just what to bring,
A Bilby, Eggs and a few other things,
Even some Poke'mon cards, "How did he know Mum?'
'The Easter Bunny has magic eyes and knows everything!'

I memorised every detail, every look of joy,
All the excitement and love,
Dylan saying out loud,'Oh Thankyou Easter Bunny!'
Those joys gifts sent from above.

Easter and Christmas dreams,
All to soon a thing of the past,
I'm going to remember every single one,
For such special memories last.

Happy Easter Dylan

Well the sun sets gently on your shoulders
And it makes me want to touch you there.
And the light in your eyes makes me feel
Like there's something much better out there
Something kind...
And I know someday I might be looking around
Trying to find some purpose
Well purpose it can't be that hard to find
As long as I've got the wind...
The wind and your love to carry me.

Lisa~
I really enjoyed this poem but I must say it brought a tear to my eyes as my darling daughter has been away since Thursday and isn't back till Tuesday and I'm missing her so. I'll leave her eggs on her pillow for her

A lovely poem Isis and wonderful times and memories for you and your son.  Reminds me of the times when my sons would get so excited at Easter and Christmas.  Now they get excited over baseball games and women..ha..ha...James
