she walks in a haze
of darkness
that shadows her face
with unmistakable
grief
one glance inside the
darkness that are her eyes
makes people recoil
therein... more sorrow
than they really cared
to know
looking away
they pass her by
they have needs
of their own
groceries
light bills
flat tires and such
and they shake
her haunting eyes out of
sight
too much sorrow to
be able to help her
just
too
much
so they don't

Hey sweetheart I can see I'm going to have to think of that poem real quick..

Seriously, sometimes people hate sadness cause it ends up making them feel so helpless..perhaps none of us should wear masks...wonder what the world would be like then...ooops...see you got me at it and I'm determined to be cheerful today...

I thought of something to make you smile...remember my 5 year old boyfriend, the little one with the excessive appetite for hamburgers?...well I asked him one day what he thought a rainbow was and he said..."if you follow it, it takes you to heaven"...bless..

....thank you rg....its just I remembered during a particularly bad time a friend here did try to stop and help...he asked if I was ok, he said my face reminded him of the look on a prisoner of war...sigh...but I like your memories better

Corazon--What RG said is true, sometimes people just don't know how to respond to sadness.  Your poem hurt my heart.

Corazon.......This was very touching!
And I hope it is an eye opener for many!

There will always been someone that "Needs"
more than one of us! It doesn't take much to offer help!
I don't know about you, but I would go away
feeling much better for helping than ignoring!
There are things that I can live with out if
that means helping someone that's in need
more than I!
