English fairgrounds, great fun

A night at the fair

Spin, Spin faster and faster
The air is filled with screams and laughter
Have a go three throws for a pound
Trainers are covered with mud from the ground
Lights and music from the carousel
Gypsy rose lee your future she’ll tell
Eating hot dogs and burgers all night
Ride on the ghost train to give you a fright
Toffee apples and cuddly toys
Children running round making lots of noise
Sit in the dodgems, ride the big wheel
The rollercoaster full of people ready for a thrill
Some rides are stopping, no more darts being thrown
The stalls are closing it’s time to go home
Driving away it disappears out of sight
The noise and the laughter fade in to the night

 "shun the frumious Bandersnatch!"

Ahh... such fun those fairs are!  They remind me of when I used to go to them...  Well done!
