Yeah yeah yeah... another depressing one, I know.

-- Without You (The Pain Sets In) -- (5-15-2000)

Without you, I'll be fine
Rain still falls, sun still shines

Tears will drop, and eyes will swell
But I'm on my own, I wish you well

I've bent, I've broken, I've mended again
I'm no longer numb, and the pain sets in

I'm always getting less, and always giving more
I gave you my love, and you teased me with yours

Dangled over my head, tied with pain from your past
You were always my first, and I was always your last

I guess I saw it coming, I must have closed my eyes
But now they're wide open, and I see all the lies

The proof's all here, the test results are in
You're unworthy of my love, not even a friend

I'm taking back my heart, you won't miss it at all
It was that little piece of me, cold outside your walls

I'm moving on without you, I'll learn to love again
I'm moving on without you, and the pain sets in...

well my sweet poet-pal,
I know where this comes from and I know its a real drag...
but as much as it sucks...
its is long over due...
your right...she didnt deserve you...
ya got any of that wine chilled?
I wanna toast ya...
to better days...to rising above...
to finding someone who deserves your love.

HEY...that rhymed ...I must be a poet.
did I mention the poem rocks...
so does the poet *S*

 It's amazing
How you make your face just like a wall
How you take your heart and turn it off
How I turn my head and you lose it all ...
And it's unnerving
How one move just puts me by myself
There you go just trusting someone else
Now I know I put us both through hell ...
I'm not sayin
That there was nothing wrong
I just didn't think you'd ever get tired of me
And I'm not sayin
We ever had the right to hold on
I just didn't wanna let you get away from me.

Sweetie, the reality of it is that there is so much hope and another heart waiting to be filled with your love.

Well hey... what'd'ya know... I wrote this one. =)  I remember this poem... =)

I forgot to say thank you to everyone for all your replies.  This is actually a poem based on old feelings, but it's all I've got to write from right now.  As of right now my life seems pretty empty and that's kind of hard to write about.  So I'm writing about memories.... maybe I can try to remember a few good memories next time. =)

Jan - I've got a little of that wine left.. maybe we can get together for some cyber-wine    Love ya, Dave
