I remember my grandmother telling me,
stories of the days of old,
     of faeries, of demons,
         of sinners and believers,
and of thiefs that would steal your very own soul,

But the ones I remember best,
the ones I would never miss,
were the ones she had told me many times before...

                        of Angels in the Mist.

I remember the night she whispered sweetly,
of the different people she had known,
     of doctors, of writers,
          of artists and creators,
and of unknown saviours strewn throughout the world,

And yet the people we always miss,
the people that we forget,
were the very godsends I chose to ignore,

                         the Angels in the Mist.

I remember the night she silently died,
slipping off into the eve,
     with spirits, with angels,
         with saviours and believers,
into the world we all will someday see,

But her stories will always be missed,
by the child who loved them so much,
and will continue to see them in his dreams...

                         the Angels in the Mist.

There are some stories that fade as we grow old,
and some that stay just as pure,
     as we speak, we listen,
and we crie and we whisper,
and they become sweeter every time they're heard,

But the ones I remember best,
the ones I will always miss,
were of doctors, of writers,
          of artists, and Grandmothers...

and of Angels in the Mist.

Wow!  That was beautiful!  Angels in the mist... what a beautiful topic.

WTVamp~
This is such a soft and gentle poem.
It speaks to my heart.
Those Grandmother's were something else, eh?

Mine returns to me with her 'gems of wisdom' firmly planted in my memory also.
This is going to be a favorite of mine.
The title is just so alluring.
