We Two

When last my head upon my pillow rests
Incessant longings smoulder deep inside.
An ever present weight upon my chest
Is evidence this love won't be denied.
Then comes the midnight knock upon my door
And shrouded in a veil of moonlit mist,
The beauty kings abandon kingdoms for,
My Sweet, whose satin cheeks have angels kissed.
The furies of our pent up passions raged
As tears of solemn gratitude were wept.
The hungers of our love at last uncaged
And promises of pure devotion kept.

Exquisite moments shared in endless bliss,
For hoped for love was never love like this.

Oh my! Absolutely beautiful, David!

'As tears of solemn gratitude were wept'

Love doesn't get any better than that!

Well....geesh, what to say to something so short yet sooo sweet!  First of all, I love this style.  It's easy to read, and each line packs it's own punch so to speak.  There's no way I could pick one line to be my fav, but if I had to, it would be, "My sweet, whose satin cheeks have angels kissed..."  Where did you get this?  If these are the thoughts that run through your head....well....I like your head! Superb and exquisite all wrapped up in one!   Er....two!
