              MY MOTHER

Going back in time as a child.
Remembering them days when I was wild.
Doing thing's I knew were not right.
But not being able to see the light.
You were always there.
Giving me a guiding hand.
To always help me understand.
The love you had for me.
I just want you to see.
I have grown up.
And your love for me is still there.
Telling me when things are rough.
That we just have to be tough.
Telling me you will never let me down.
And that I should not feel like a clown.
You are always a friend.
And not just a trend.
You are my mother.
And there could never be another.
I hope on this day.
And on every day.
That you know that you are a special person.
You are my mother.
And will always be above others.
And on this day.
May I just say.
I love you,
My very special mother.

What a lovely tribute. I know she'll love this.

Welcome to our humble family. Take your shoes off and stay a while.

All my love,
Jeffrey

First of all Welcome to Passions!
Secondly this is a great poem and a wonderful gift to your mother.  I had to smile as I read over the line "when I was wild" ahhh yes the memories that brings back, and now raising my own daughter a shiver of dread begins   I can only hope that I handle it as well as my mom did.
Thank you for sharing this poem and your gift to write.  I look forward to more in the future

 Hold me for yesterday
Kiss me for tomorrow
But love me for today.

Being a Mom, this brought a tear to my eye.....Thinking......
of the day that my child might do something like this for me.
How wonderful it is to be loved so unconditionally!

Welcome to Passions!
