I know who I am
I am able to stand on my own
I do not need a partner to define by being

I know my heart
I am able to give love and feel compassion
without exacting or expecting compensation

I know my own worth
I am vital and necessary
If I were not here there would be an emptiness
The size of which would be measurable only
In the lives I have touched or would have touched.

I have to agree with PdV..very strong confidence, inner strength, and stalwart personal identity....wonderfully rendered.

Poet deVine,
Thank you! It's a strength and confidence that has not always been there....I am thankful for it.

Alicat,
All I can say is thank you........it's taken my whole life to find this strength and peace.  I treasure it now that I have it.
