Guide me to the ocean,
To see the crashing spray,
To taste the sweet salty breeze,
To gaze away the day.

Guide me to the ocean,
A challange brought by 'Rain',
To watch a sunset glowing red,
Above the gentle waves.

Guide me to the ocean,
Not to sail away,
Rest with me upon the beach,
Enjoy the languid day.

Guide me to the ocean,
Adventure filled with joy,
To find something I had lost,
Several years before.

----------------------------------------------

I haven't written anything in several years and was referred to this site by a friend whom knows of my passion for poetry.  After reading a few posts and seeing a challange I may have found something that I truly believed lost and though it may not make sense I wish to thank the poets and the site owner, for what you have accomplished is something I have been trying to overcome for too long and was unable to alone.  Thank you.

Great poem you have written here, I was traveling around reading and found your first post here at Passions. Welcome, hope you enjoy your stay, and I hope more inspiration finds its way to these pages. After looking for where you found the challenge, I myself found it too, and had to try my mind at it, with sucess I posted mine in Open to see what everyone thinks of it.

Anonymity,

First of all, let me welcome you to this wonderful family of poets. I'm so happy to hear that we were able to help you find your muse again as poetry as beautiful as this first post is something that should never be lost. I hope you will enjoy your stay here as much as we will enjoy having you in our family.

Your poem made me very eager for my vacation this weekend as one of my first stops along the way will be to the ocean. Maybe my guide to the ocean will help me to find something special along the way. Again, welcome to Passions, and I look forward to reading more.

A lovely sense of the ocean's atmosphere...
I also enjoy the thought of searching for something lost -- I can relate to that, with some memories of long ago, on a beach far away....
Wonderful poem!
