Peering through the morning mist
a thin curtain of translucent blue
that surrounds like a moist coccoon
creating surreal images in pastel
undulating, shifting, floating
they call with silent voices
beckoning, arms open wide
drawing the subconscious deeper
a shimmering field of green and gold
in a world bereft of pain
or trial, or lonely despair
only the warmth remains; the calm;
the soul rejoices, triumphant
in this sweet field of dreams

the woods are lovely, dark, and deep, but I have promises to keep, and many miles to go before I sleep...Frost

What a lovely place you have found Pegasus.  In your dream dreams.  Joyce

If only we could capture the peace in real time.

Thanks,

I just sigh at this one, Pegasus...
such an idyllic place -- a wonderful experience,
to be able to drift off to your field of dreams...

Ah, "perchance to dream"...I love the way you penned this and those dreams do have a way of taking the edge off of reality..lovely, Peg.
