a bolt of light
i fell to the floor
came up speaking
in
words

to spit and spew
across fields of white
scribing
a riotous hue—sliding
d
o
w
n
the never-ending sentence
that goes on and on and on and on and on
for an breathless eternity
of pumping rhyme
oh—
so sublime
how fleetly do these words carousel
through space and time
into the eye of a hurricane
i reach out to grab
impossible
made
possible
flashing images of verse
to write on the palm
of this mind of mine
to articulate
i reiterate
i hereby
promulgate
that i speak in
words

listen

LOL..yes you do!!  Glad to see you writing again. I hate it when the words stop, even for a little while.

the woods are lovely, dark, and deep, but I have promises to keep, and many miles to go before I sleep...Frost

Yes. Many times I don't have paper when that bolt of light strikes and I use the palm of my hand. But, then I forget and wash it away.
Enjoyed.

An unusual write and very striking!  It's such a glorious feeling when the wrods pour into you and out onto the page.
