Robert’s childhood
ponders now in the near dawn
of a last night.

It has no concept
as time skips merrily along;
that life fades early—
stunned mindless
in the hard light
of maturity

Heard on a evening breeze,
as youth faces the far horizon.
red rover—red rover
come-on-over

crossing over to the next phase is a mystery to most. we do so blindly, not because we want to but, because we must. well written Wordancer

this is well said. The transition is always so obscure...wish I could remember it!!!

A friend hears the song in my heart, and sings it to me when my memory fails.
